Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the small number of cookies and similar technologies used by IDChecker.co.za.
What cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| litespeed_* | Server-side page cache. Stores nothing about you — used to serve pages faster. | Session / up to 30 days |
| woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_* | Keep your basket and checkout working when you buy a report. Set only once you add a report to your basket; they identify your basket, not you. | Session / up to 48 hours |
| wordpress_*, wordpress_logged_in_* | Only if you create an account or log in — standard WordPress session cookies. | Session / up to 14 days |
What we do NOT use
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any third-party tracking pixel.
- No advertising cookies.
- No social media share-tracking cookies.
- No marketing automation cookies.
Browser session storage (not a cookie)
If you use the free checker and click through to order a verified report, the ID number you typed is passed to the order form using your browser's session storage. It stays on your device, is cleared as soon as the form reads it, and is never put in a web address or sent to us until you place the order.
Disabling cookies
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling the LiteSpeed cookie may make pages slightly slower. Disabling the WooCommerce cookies will prevent the basket and checkout from working — the free checker is unaffected.
Updates
If we add or change the cookies we use, we'll update this page.
